Google Launches New ‘Google Partners Directory’

06 May, 2022 Google Partners Directory

Google has officially lifted the lid on the new Google Partners directory, engineered to make it “easier than ever to find the right partner to help you grow your business.”

“Google Partners use their Google Ads expertise to help you stand out, maximise campaign success and drive client growth. Additionally, Premier Partners are recognised for being among the top 3% of Google Partners in their country,” reads the release statement from Google.

“The Google Partners programme is designed for advertising agencies and third parties that manage Google Ads accounts on behalf of other brands or businesses. The programme offers Partners strategic benefits to empower them to help their clients get the most out of their Google Ads campaigns.”

The Google Partners directory will be populated exclusively by Google Premier Partners and Partners, who have fulfilled a certain set of requirements. Premier Partner status is awarded only to those who rank among the top 3% of Google Partners in their country.

Google’s new directory is designed to make it as easy as possible to find viable partners for your business, using the alphabetical listings or the various filters Google has included in the database.

How to Become a Google Partner

Eligibility requirements to become a Google Partner fall within three categories – Performance, Spend and Certifications. These requirements are checked by Google on a daily basis, and the thresholds that currently apply in each of these three categories are as follows:

PerformanceThe performance requirement helps ensure that you can effectively set up and optimally run Google Ads campaigns to achieve the greatest results for your clients. Your Google Partners registered Ads manager account needs to have a minimum optimization score of 70% – you’re in control, with the ability to apply or dismiss recommendations based on your assessment and your clients’ goals.
SpendYour Google Partners registered Ads manager account needs to maintain a 90-day ad spend of $10,000 USD across managed accounts.
CertificationYour Google Partners registered Ads manager account needs to have a minimum of 50% of your account strategists certified in Google Ads (capped at 100 users), with at least one certification in each product area with campaign spend of $500 USD or more in 90 days (for example Search, Display, Video, Shopping, or Apps). Account strategists are employees of your company who manage Google Ads campaigns on behalf of your clients. You can inform us of how many users in your company are account strategists and should be certified based on their day-to-day work by going to the Company details page from your Partners program tab and selecting from the drop-down menu.
