Google has begun rolling out AI Overviews to users even when they are not signed into their accounts. This feature is now available to some users who are browsing in Chrome’s Incognito mode, allowing them to see AI-generated summaries for their searches without needing to be logged in. Google has confirmed that this functionality is currently being offered to signed-out users in the United States. Jon Henshaw shared this update on LinkedIn, noting the significant change in how AI Overviews are being accessed.
He then posted the following screenshot of Google presenting AI Overviews in Incognito mode:
We know for certain that Google does not display the “AI Overviews and more” in Search Labs without opting in and signing in.
